The Federal Railroad Administration has issued the Final Environmental Impact Statement for Texas Central’s Dallas-to-Houston high speed rail project. A link to the released documents is here.

Groups opposing the project are expected to raise numerous challenges to the Final EIS, and there are still many other hurdles before the project becomes a reality, not the least of which is financing of the expected $20 billion budget.

The Federal Railroad Administration could issue its record of decision for the Texas Central’s Dallas-to-Houston high speed rail project as soon as 30 days after the May 29, 2020 issuance of the Final EIS.
